History of Propaganda

This is my 16''x20'' poster for my History of Propaganda term project. I'm pretty happy with it. The project is due on Wednesday so I kind of just wanted to get it out of the way unfortunately. The logo at the bottom was done by my partner for the project.

goddess wip

Should be working on the 5 illustrations I have due in 2 weeks... but have been wanting to do this for awhile. It's one of my other ideas for the god/goddess calendar illustration. Just a work in progress for now.

Fifth Illustration assignment - Illustrate a song. I chose "Black and Gold" by Sam Sparro.

Critique today went okay, the only problem was the left breast. It was "too uneven"... I thought it was fine just because I've been looking at my reference this whole time... but her left shoulder is hidden by her hair... so it's unclear of her exact pose to everyone else. That shoulder is actually slumped, therefore the lowered breast.

I made the changes to the breast though... It's okay... don't really like it as much. I might just try to expose the left shoulder instead... We'll see...

Planet Ashley

In some preparation for my next illustration... which deals with space (if it gets approved that is), I made a planet in photoshop. I'm pretty happy with it, especially being the first planet I've done.

Fourth illustration assignment: Calendar image of a god or goddess, associated with a month.

I chose Demeter, goddess of harvesting and agriculture. I was originally going to choose the month of June, just because that is the prime time for wheat harvesting... but decided to go with an autumn, "thanksgiving" feel... thus November.
